What is SAFED?
SAFE AND FUEL EFFICIENT DRIVING
SAFED was developed to assist drivers and companies improve their techniques on how to maximise the efficiency on using the vehicle they operate. This is a scheme that is effective for both LGV and PCV Drivers of all sized vehicles.
Safer Driving means:
- Less injuries and fatalities on our roads.
- Less accident damage to vehicles.
- Less unproductive downtime for vehicle maintenance or repairs.
- The potential for reduced insurance premiums.
Fuel Efficiency means:
- Lower costs.
- Proven improved profit margins.
- Reduced emissions.
- Improved environmental performance.

ACCREDITED CENTRE
Together SAFED makes for a cost effective solution to lowering costs and increasing revenue, and is one that drivers can benefit from as well as the vehicle owner/operator.
Companies like Mainstream have received specialist training in order to be able to effectively deliver a programme that you would benefit from.
Safed will be part of the new drivercpc syllabus, but will benefit those who are not yet at that stage.
This course also may attract funding under the governments NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) programme.
